An American Gives Swiss German Lessons
It's my turn - "Express Vicki German".
I cannot tell you how often I experience conversations between Swiss that have more curves than the street to Arosa. They leave me shaking my head in confusion. Let me give you an example:
Kathy, have you heard the latest?
What Rosi?
You know my sister's daughter?
Yes, Silvi.
Yes right. Well, Silvi’s daughter Eveline and her son-in-law Werner are having a baby – twins.
Now I have been waiting to pounce on this moment for years, dear Swiss readers. Vicki is at your service to give you a free German lesson:
Rosi's niece is having twins.
Or, Rosi's sister will be a grandmother.
